How to use this tool
- Drop your images onto the box or tap to pick them.
- Choose the format you want: JPG, PNG or WebP.
- Download each converted file from the list.
Reasons to use PNG
Some design tools, print shops and upload forms ask for PNG. PNG is also better when you will edit an image several times, because JPG loses a little quality each time it is saved. Note that converting won't add transparency; you need a background remover for that.
Frequently asked questions
Is PNG better quality than JPG?
PNG doesn't lose quality when saved, but it can't recover detail a JPG already lost.
Why is my PNG bigger than the JPG?
PNG stores every pixel exactly, so photo files are larger.
Can I make the background transparent?
Not with this tool. Use a background remover first.
