What each tool does
Word Counter
A word counter counts runs of letters or numbers separated by spaces or punctuation; hyphenated words count as one. Average adult silent reading speed is about 238 words per minute, so 1,000 words takes about 4 minutes to read and about 7 minutes to speak at 150 words per minute.
Case Converter
Sentence case capitalises only the first word of each sentence and proper nouns. Title case capitalises major words and leaves short articles, conjunctions and prepositions lowercase unless they come first. camelCase, snake_case and kebab-case are naming styles used in programming and web addresses.
Text to Speech
Paste your text, pick a voice and press Play. The tool uses the speech voices built into your device, so it is free, has no character limit and works offline. The voices available depend on your phone or computer; Chrome, Edge and Safari usually offer US, UK and Indian English.
Fancy Text Generator
Fancy text generators swap normal letters for look-alike Unicode characters, such as the mathematical bold and script alphabets, so the styled text can be pasted anywhere that accepts text, including Instagram bios and WhatsApp. Screen readers may read these characters oddly, so keep important information in plain text.
