How to use this tool
- Choose an ink colour and pen width.
- Sign on the white pad with your finger, a stylus or the mouse. Tap Clear to start again.
- Download a transparent PNG for documents, or a JPG with a white background for forms.
PNG or JPG?
A transparent PNG has no background, so it sits cleanly on top of a PDF, a Word letter or an email footer. Use JPG when a form insists on JPG or a white background. The download is trimmed to the edges of your signature, so there is no wasted space.
Signatures for exam and job forms
Application portals in India and Pakistan often ask for a signature image of 10–20 KB, sometimes at a set pixel size such as 140 × 60. Download the JPG here, then use the signature resizer to hit the exact size and file limit.
Is a drawn signature legally valid?
In the US (ESIGN Act), the UK and many other countries, an electronic signature is generally valid for everyday contracts if both sides agree to sign electronically. Some documents, such as wills and certain property deeds, still need a wet ink signature or a witnessed process. Check the rules for important documents.
