Celsius and Fahrenheit
To turn Celsius into Fahrenheit, multiply by 9/5 and add 32. To go the other way, subtract 32 and multiply by 5/9. Normal body temperature is about 37 °C or 98.6 °F, and water boils at 100 °C or 212 °F at sea level.
US and UK units are not always the same
A UK (imperial) gallon is about 20% bigger than a US gallon, and a UK pint is 568 ml against 473 ml in the US. In the UK people often give body weight in stones and pounds, while in the US it's pounds alone and in India it's kilograms. Heights are usually given in feet and inches in the US and UK, and in centimetres or feet in India.
