Who uses military time?

The armed forces, hospitals, police, airlines and railways use 24-hour time because it removes any doubt between AM and PM. In hospitals, a drug charted at 2000 can only mean 8 PM. Most of Europe, Pakistan and India use 24-hour clocks in timetables; the US mostly calls it "military time".

How to say it

Military time is spoken in two pairs: 0600 is "zero six hundred", 1430 is "fourteen thirty" and 2215 is "twenty-two fifteen". The word "hours" is often added in formal use.
