Common reasons to split a PDF

Upload portals often want each document separately: the passport bio page, a single bank statement month, or one certificate out of a scanned bundle. Splitting also lets you send only the pages someone needs instead of a whole 40-page file.

Removing pages

To delete pages, list the ones you want to keep. To drop page 3 from a 10-page file, type 1-2, 4-10. The new PDF keeps the original page size, text and images.

Page numbers

Use commas to separate pages and a hyphen for ranges, so 1-3, 5, 9-10 keeps pages 1, 2, 3, 5, 9 and 10. Pages are kept in the order you type them, so 3, 1, 2 also lets you reorder. Numbers beyond the last page are ignored.

Privacy

Bank statements and medical reports shouldn't be uploaded to unknown servers. This splitter copies pages inside your browser using pdf-lib, so the file never leaves your device. To join files back together, use merge PDF.
