How to use this tool
- Set the minimum and maximum numbers and how many you need.
- Choose whether numbers can repeat, then press Generate.
- For a giveaway or class, paste names one per line and press Pick a winner.
How fair is it?
Many random number tools use Math.random, which is fine for games but not designed to be unpredictable. This one uses crypto.getRandomValues, the browser's cryptographically secure generator, and rejects values that would make some numbers slightly more likely than others. Every number in your range has exactly the same chance.
Ideas
Teachers use the name picker to choose who answers next. Social media accounts use it to draw giveaway winners from a list of entrants. Set 1 to 6 for a dice roll, 1 to 2 for a coin toss, or pick six unique numbers from 1 to 59 for a lottery-style draw.
Running a transparent giveaway
Record your screen while you paste the full entry list and press the button, then share the video. That shows followers the winner was chosen fairly.
